In a message to families on Wednesday, Hope Valley Elementary School Principal Jed Miller announced he’s leaving that post at the end of the school year.
He expressed gratitude for the community’s assistance during the past five years, where he oversaw the Durham Public Schools campus at the corner of Dixon Road and University Drive and led it through the transition from traditional-calendar to year-round school.
“Please know that I remain committed to serving as your leader for the remainder of the school year so we can finish strong,” Miller said.
The news comes just a day before School Principal Appreciation Day.
