The City of Durham is moving forward with a project to repair and improve stormwater drainage systems and a portion of the water main infrastructure along West Woodridge Drive.
According to the Public Works Department, formal construction bids for Contract SD-2025-05 – titled West Woodridge Drive Infrastructure Repairs – are now being accepted. The work will include providing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for installation, rehabilitation, and improvements to stormwater and water systems in the area of 102 West Woodridge Dr.
The city officially advertised the project on April 11, with a pre-bid meeting scheduled for April 23 at 10 a.m. in Conference Room 3B at City Hall, and a bid opening scheduled for May 13 at 2 p.m.
Once a contractor is selected, work is expected to begin around August 2025, with the project taking up to 150 calendar days to complete.
Contractors interested in bidding must be licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes and must submit either a bid bond or a certified check equal to 5% of their total bid. All bids must also include a non-collusion affidavit.
