The Boys & Girls Clubs of Durham and Orange Counties hosts the 2025 Great Futures Breakfast on May 1, aiming to raise $125,000 to support its summer camp programs.
The free event takes place at the BGCDOC Durham Club, located at 1010 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Ste. 300. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m., with the program running from 8 to 9 a.m.
Organizers say the breakfast offers a chance for attendees to hear directly from club leaders and members about the impact of BGCDOC programs on young people in the community. Funds raised will help provide safe, enriching summer experiences for local youth.
Founded in 1939, BGCDOC has been providing children with a safe place to have fun, develop character, and discover their talents. The organization focuses on healthy lifestyles, character, and leadership development, and academic success through after-school programs and summer camps.
The event is open to the public, but attendees are asked to RSVP.
