Southpoint LEGO Store Opens Friday

The LEGO Group is set to open its newest retail location at The Streets at Southpoint on Friday, May 23, bringing immersive play and the brand’s signature brick-building experience to South Durham.

Located on the mall’s upper level next to Zumiez, the 2,217-square-foot store will feature one of the region’s widest selections of LEGO sets, along with exclusive products and interactive displays such as a Pick & Build Wall, Build a Mini Tower, and dedicated play tables.

The grand opening weekend kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday, followed by appearances from costumed characters, a community-built LEGO mural, and a local LEGO Users Group display.

“LEGO Stores are true community hubs – spaces where new and existing LEGO fans of all ages can find inspiration and immersive experiences to build upon their passions,” said Shweta Munshi, vice president of retail experience for LEGO Retail.

Opening promotions include:

  • May 23–25: Free “I ❤️ LEGO Store” tile with any purchase
  • May 23: Free LEGO Store Yellow Truck set with $75 purchase (LEGO Insiders only)
  • May 24: Free LEGO Store set with $120 purchase
