Mixed-Use Rezoning Contemplated Near Brier Creek

More than 300 acres straddling the Durham and Wake county lines along U.S. Hwy. 70 near Brier Creek could be rezoned for industrial light and planned development residential.

Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP has scheduled a neighborhood meeting on May 15 via Zoom from 6 to 7 p.m.  for people living near the site to discuss the potential rezoning. The project is identified as Gateway at Brier Creek.

The applicant is considering a rezoning application that “would allow for a mixed-use development that integrates residential, commercial, and industrial/life-science uses,” according to the notice sent to neighbors.

Residents also are invited to contact the applicants by phone at 919-835-4529 or 919-835-4050, or by email at jamieschwedler@parkerpoe.com or mariefarmer@parkerpoe.com.
