Jack Caspar, owner of Starcrossed Transport, faces a barrage of lawsuits from former partners and clients, as the fallout from his failed venture into uncharted fringe space continues to worsen.

Several companies, including Thrain Intergalactic Ventures, claim Caspar’s company broke contracts and failed to deliver goods as promised. Thrain Intergalactic had hired Starcrossed to transport high-tech equipment to their new outpost on the fringe. Instead, the cargo vanished, and the ship carrying it went missing. “We trusted Starcrossed with our most valuable assets,” a Thrain Intergalactic spokesperson said. “Caspar’s failure to fulfill his obligations cost us millions.”

On top of that, the notorious Fagin’s Riches Smugglers Guild, known for operating outside the law, has hinted at pursuing its own form of justice. Rumors suggest Jack agreed to a private deal with Lord Fagin, transporting illicit goods under the radar. Those goods never made it to their destination. Lord Fagin released a brief but ominous statement: “Those who owe, always pay—one way or another.”

Caspar’s troubles worsened when former crew members publicly blamed him for mismanaging Starcrossed Transport’s resources. One ex-crew member, who spoke anonymously, said: “Jack pushed us into a risky job without thinking it through. When things went wrong, we all suffered. Now he’s left us in the lurch, and clients are demanding their dues.”

Several clients have accused him of misleading them about the company’s stability. They allege that he knew Starcrossed lacked the resources to handle such a high-risk mission but took on the contracts anyway, desperate to keep the business afloat.

    Legal Fallout:

The lawsuits could cost Starcrossed Transport millions of credits, and Caspar’s refusal to settle quietly has pushed several of the plaintiffs to take more aggressive legal action. Some creditors have already begun the process of seizing Starcrossed assets, including the Diamond Lil, Caspar’s flagship. Without his main vessel, Jack’s ability to keep the company operational hangs by a thread.

    Public Reaction:

Public opinion on Caspar and his company has quickly soured. Many former clients and business partners have distanced themselves from Starcrossed Transport, questioning his judgment and integrity. However, a handful of loyalists remain, claiming Caspar has been unfairly scapegoated by larger corporations. “The guy took a risk,” said one supporter. “Sure, it didn’t pay off, but that’s how business works on the frontier.”

    What’s Next for Jack Caspar?

Facing mounting legal threats, a deserting crew, and the potential loss of his ship, Jack Caspar now scrambles to save Starcrossed Transport from total collapse. Insiders report that he’s seeking new investors, but with his reputation in tatters, finding financial backers may prove nearly impossible.

Caspar has yet to release a public statement, but sources close to him suggest he remains determined to fight the lawsuits and salvage what’s left of his business. Whether he can rally new allies or fall deeper into debt and disrepair remains to be seen.
