Durham’s Annual Water Disinfection Change Starts Feb. 28

Durham residents may notice a slight change in the taste and smell of their tap water starting Friday, Feb. 28, as the City of Durham’s Department of Water Management begins its annual water disinfection changeover. The process, which follows federal and state regulations, will continue until Monday, April 13, and ensures the city’s water distribution system remains clean and safe.
