The long-dormant site of the old Denny’s in Hope Valley Commons should get a spicy new tenant later this year. Chipotle, the Mexican food chain that specializes in burritos and bowls, is set to open at 7021 NC Hwy. 751, Ste. 901.
The City of Durham has issued permits for renovating the interior. Company officials confirmed on Monday that the Chipotle location should open this winter, but could offer no further details.
Other Chipotle locations in the area include The Streets at Southpoint and Patterson Place.
