Two-Hour Delay for Durham Schools

Public schools in Durham are starting two hours late Jan. 10 in the wake of severe weather that left some households without power.

The delayed start comes a day after Durham Public Schools called for early dismissals ahead of that inclement weather.

“After assessing conditions, we prioritize safety for students and staff,” district officials said in a Facebook post.” “Your cooperation is invaluable as we navigate inclement weather.”
