Public schools in Durham are starting two hours late Jan. 10 in the wake of severe weather that left some households without power.
The delayed start comes a day after Durham Public Schools called for early dismissals ahead of that inclement weather.
“After assessing conditions, we prioritize safety for students and staff,” district officials said in a Facebook post.” “Your cooperation is invaluable as we navigate inclement weather.”
