Hackers apparently didn’t get access to sensitive student data during the recent breach of PowerSchool. But they might’ve snared Social Security numbers belonging to Durham Public Schools staff.
On Jan. 29, PowerSchool started contacting individuals whose information was breached and has enlisted credit-reporting agency Experian to provide free identity protection and credit monitoring services to current and former students and educators.
