[SoDu Shopping Basket] Comparing South Durham Grocery Prices - Aug. 28, 2025

In the SoDu Shopping Basket, we take a look at grocery prices at some of our stores in the South Durham area.

Data is gathered using online shopping tools (specifically, apps for each store). Based on data for Aug. 28, 2025, Wegmans appeared to have the lowest total basket cost at $55.29, followed by Walmart at $55.86 and Food Lion at $56.25. The average basket cost in South Durham for this week: $69.85, up from last week.

NOTE: Prices for some stores are based on loyalty programs.
