Neighborhood Meetings Set for Three South Durham Projects

Three development projects highlighted in a recent SoDu Rezoning Radar from Southpoint Access are scheduled to get neighborhood meetings this month ahead of potential consideration by the Durham Planning Commission.

Brittmore

Brittmore, a project coming close on the heels of the recently rejected Sheffield Farms proposal, would put 115 single-family and townhouse units on 27 acres along Farrington Mill Road. Neighborhood meeting is scheduled via Zoom from 6 to 7 p.m. on May 22. It could then go to the Planning Commission for a public hearing on June 10.

Courtyards at Oak Grove

Courtyards at Oak Grove is proposed for 22.54 acres at 6102 Kinard Rd., with no more than 67 single-family homes and townhouses. Neighborhood meeting via Zoom on May 22 from 6 to 7 p.m. Might be on agenda for June 10 Planning Commission public hearing.

Fayetteville Flats

Fayetteville Flats would bring as many as 220 apartments to the area near Hillside High School, along Fayetteville Street. All units would be income-restricted for households earning 60% of area median income for no less than 30 years. Neighborhood meeting via Zoom from 7 to 8 p.m. on May 22. Planning Commission may hold a public hearing on this project on June 10.
